Green Hills Communications recently announced the acquisition of Figg Technology Services, an IT consulting firm based in Chillicothe, MO. Tony Figg, previous owner of Figg Technology Service, also joined Green Hills Communications on March 1, 2018, as their new Business Sales Manager.
“For the past 20 years, Tony Figg has established himself as a reputable IT consultant to many businesses, government entities and educational institutions throughout North Central Missouri,” said David Adams, Green Hills Communications’ General Manager. “His extensive background in network design and support will be an asset to both Green Hills and our business customers and we are excited to have him join our team”.
The acquisition of Figg Technology Services is part of Green Hills’ strategic plan to provide local businesses with even more enhanced broadband-based communication services and technological solutions. “Pairing Tony’s capabilities with Green Hills’ fiber optic broadband and existing technology solution team is going to make a big impact on the capabilities local businesses will now have available to them” says Chuck Erke, Green Hills’ IT Manager who also maintains IT support to many Chillicothe businesses.
“For many years, Green Hills and I have worked together supporting local businesses,” says Figg. “This union is going to open the door to some great opportunities for local businesses, especially as we continue our fiber optic buildout throughout North Central Missouri.”
In 2016, the telecommunications company began construction on a multi-phase underground fiber optic buildout through the business corridors of Chillicothe, MO. “Our customers require a state-of-the-art, highly-reliable and high-capacity infrastructure,” says Adams. “Fiber optics enables us to meet these requirements now and provides the “future-proofing” flexibility to deliver additional services in the years to come. With each construction project, we are one step closer to our goal of having all of our customers connected to a gigabit fiber network”.
